Interview: Shepard Fairey - “Rise Above” Exhibition

Shepard Fairey is the most accomplished street artist living today. His ceaseless need to create has brought him a slew of notoriety, sold out gallery shows and a successful design firm. Unlike many of the quick rising “it” artists, Shepard has put in years of devotion into his work - consequently, his wave of success has and will only continue to rise.

I visited Shepard at his “Rise Above” solo exhibition @ Merry Karnowsky Gallery and discussed his ideas of punk, graffiti and artistic integrity.
